Tap a phrase and your dog hears a real recorded dog — a greeting yip, an insistent food whine, a contented yawn. Every clip is an openly licensed field recording (CC0 or CC BY), licence read off its own source page and credited inside the app. No synthesised beeps.

🐾 Honest about what this is. Nobody can turn a bark into a sentence, and any app promising that is selling you something. Zerdava does not claim to read intent. It tells you the sound type — bark, growl, or a tonal call like a whine or howl — and how worked up your dog sounds. That is what the published research supports: when the same recordings are tested on dogs the model has never heard, context accuracy in the literature sits around 33–43%, barely above chance. Sound type is the part that holds up. Zerdava shows its confidence and stays quiet when the signal is weak. It is not a veterinary device and does not diagnose.
